In recognition of our tenth year we are holding a special reception at Barkway Village Hall with a host of guest speakers. Seema Sharma of Channel 4's Secret Slumdog Millionaire will be telling of the plight of migrants she witnessed in Mumbai. Head of our partner NGO in India, Rameshwar lal Verma, will be talking to the BBC's Andy Harper about his hopes and fears. And Peter Gough will be reminding us of our journey so far and the challenges that still face us. This September a brave Jenny Evans will attempt the ascent of Kilimanjaro. Known as Kili by the locals, it rises 19,340 feet above sea level and is the tallest mountain Africa. And whilst battling her way up the mountain she'll also be raising funds for Khandel light!
